About this animal

Scolopendra gigantea, the Peruvian Giant Centipede, is the undisputed apex of the myriapod world, reaching 12 inches or more. Iridescent russet-brown legs against a dark body make them visually stunning. They are ambush predators capable of taking prey as large as mice and bats. Strictly for experienced invertebrate keepers — their venom is potent and they are exceptionally fast.

Advanced level: Requires significant keeper experience.
